Don’t Sell The Yahoo Bulksheet Tool As A Time Saver Please

August 20th, 2009 Andreas Pfister

In a blog post about the Yahoo Bulksheet Tool on the Yahoo Search Marketing Blog the author highlights its advantages. I agree that you can “speed things up a bit” but still, the Yahoo tool is so far behind the products of the competition and using it is very time-consuming and error-prone. During the trainings I gave I could observe that the bulk upload often poses a problem for new people in the Search Marketing business. Let’s be honest, if you compare the Yahoo bulk upload tool with its competitors, namely Google AdWords Editor and Microsoft adCenter Desktop it doesn’t have the slightest chance. Yahoo hasn’t and probably never will publish an offline tool that allows the management of Yahoo’s  PPC campaigns in a time efficient manner. I’ve seen too many desperate people grappling with this tool, thus I can’t let this blog post about the so called advantages pass by without expressing my opinion.

C’mon Yahoo, don’t try to sell the bulk upload tool as a time saver!

Any disagreements on that?
